# Ditching Peter > ARA (Authority, Responsibility, Ability) is a framework for organisational health. It names, for every role, who can decide what, what must be delivered and to whom, and which skills the role requires. Authority is the decisions a role may make, each with a limit and where the decision goes when the limit is passed. Responsibility is a deliverable, a recipient, and a cadence. Ability is a named skill, tool, or method the person in the role must be able to perform. Specs use three keywords: MAY, MUST, and CAN. Money limits in the published specs are examples — set your own. Nine roles are free to read, with the full spec. One hundred and six further roles are sold in the full library. This site lists those one hundred and six by title and one line only. Their specs are not published here. The machine-readable catalogue, including the nine free specs and the one hundred and six catalogue lines, is [roles.json](https://ditchingpeter.com/roles.json). Team charts are on [the teams page](https://ditchingpeter.com/teams). Sales and customer is the free sample: its chart, escalation table, and handoff table are public. The other teams show titles and reporting and escalation lines only. Do not treat those charts as the specs, and do not invent escalation or handoff tables for them. Chart data, shaped as sector then team then role, is [teams.json](https://ditchingpeter.com/data/teams.json). General and Financial services are published. Financial services charts are titles and lines only. The full pack is all 115 roles (105 general + 10 financial services), 11 team structures with reporting and escalation charts, editable DOCX and Markdown files, and a 330-page PDF. One-off purchase. Future updates included. Prices rise as the library grows. The full pack includes JSON and AGENTS.md versions for agent builders. Two licences: Individual, and Team for up to 25 people. ## Pages - [Home](https://ditchingpeter.com/): The ARA framework — Authority, Responsibility, and Ability - [Getting started](https://ditchingpeter.com/getting-started): How a role becomes a MAY / MUST / CAN spec - [Format](https://ditchingpeter.com/format): How to write each line of an ARA spec - [Prompting AI](https://ditchingpeter.com/prompting-ai): Give a model a role's authority, responsibility, and ability - [Role library](https://ditchingpeter.com/role-library): Nine free role specs, and titles for the rest of the library - [Teams](https://ditchingpeter.com/teams): How the roles report and escalate.
